The Rich Heritage Of Esan Kingdoms
Esanland is comprised of 35 kingdoms, which are traditional communities each headed by an Onojie, or traditional ruler. Major kingdoms include Uromi, Irrua, and Ubiaja, though other notable kingdoms include Ekpoma, Igueben, Opoji, and Ebelle. These kingdoms are found within the present-day Esan region of Edo State, Nigeria.
